Nikhil Nath (Moderator)
Founder & CEO, Knowcross

Nikhil Nath is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Knowcross, a leader in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) technology for the global hotel industry.
 
Nikhil’s professional career began at Goldman Sachs in 1993. In 1995, he joined the now Deloitte-owned Monitor Company as a strategy consultant, dividing his time between the company’s offices in Hong Kong, London, New Delhi and Paris. In 2000, Nikhil joined Antfactory, a London based technology fund that invested in the first wave of internet companies. In 2002, Nikhil set up Knowcross with the aim of modernizing hotel operations with technology.
 
Today, Knowcross has offices in Washington D.C., London, New Delhi, Singapore and Shanghai and a global customer base that spans over 40+ countries. Knowcross is a trusted partner to some of the world’s most well-known global brands and marquee independants. 

Kylie Maxwell (Panelist)
Executive General Manager, ahs hospitality

Kylie has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry throughout Australia with over 12 years’ experience in outsourcing services with ahs. Kylie is responsible for managing all aspects of the national/international operation and provides high level support to the operational leadership team.

Established in 1993, ahs hospitality was the first business to provide outsourced housekeeping services to hotels in Australia and New Zealand and is the leading outsourced housekeeping partner and the largest provider with partnerships across all major brands.

James Walkden (Panelist)
Area Director of Operations Australia, New Zealand & Pacific, Marriott Hotels

James Walkden is a passionate industry professional  with over 25 years of experience working for global brands including Hilton, Four Seasons, Starwood and Marriott. After graduating from Nottingham University in the UK James started his career with Hilton specializing in Food and Beverage. His desire to travel and experience more of the world saw him travel extensively before migrating to Australia in 2000, the place he now calls home with his wife and daughter. 

He later moved to Asia where he has held the position of Hotel Manager at  W Hong Kong and General Manager at The Westin Xi’an. After the merger between Starwood and Marriott, January 2017 saw James relocate back down under appointed as Area Director of Operations for Marriott International overseeing operations for the 34 operating and 20 pipeline hotels across  Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

Kenneth Low (Panelist)
Hospitality Veteran & Past Vice President Hotel Operations at MGM Cotai, Macau

Kenneth Low is a hospitality veteran with over 25 years of experience. He began his career as a Front Desk Clerk working diligently up to Senior Management in several Hospitality Organizations. His career progression has always been derived from a hands-on leadership approach to team members and tasks assigned with a keen desire to improve on his expertise in management when given more senior management roles which also helped improve my business acumen.  

Kenneth has a proven track record of cost management, exceeding goals, boosting sales and increasing revenue. Most recently, Kenneth exceled as the Vice President, Hotel Operations at the prestigious, MGM Cotai, Macau.

Martin Hurley (Panelist)
General Manger, Lancaster Bangkok

Martin Hurley is a savvy, experienced General manager with over 25 years of hands on experience at some of the leading hotels globally. He started his career in the U.K and spent over 15 years with Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants.

He later moved to IHG and then joined a unique and contemporary boutique property K West. Most recently, Martin has moved to Thailand and is the General Manager of the luxurious, five star Preferred Hotel, Lancaster Bangkok.
